DROP

INTRODUCTION

DROP was originally written as the first of two quick dips into the War genre. The other story, WAR DOG: A STORY OF ANIMALS IN WAR, can be read here.

I didn't set out to write any great anti-war manifesto with this story, but I did want to try articulating some of the futility one might feel after an overdose of the History channel. I hope the monologue doesn't come across as too nihilistic, though.

Art for the story is provided by Wolverhampton's own Dave Hilliard. I met Dave at one of my Enterarts exhibitions, and promised to write a story for him more or less on the spot.

A print edition of DROP is on the way, as part of the Paper Tiger Comix anthology WAR. Proceeds from that book will be going to Campaign Against The Arms Trade. But until then, we hope you'll enjoy the webcomic edition of Drop.
